We Build Minds. We are a group of adult mentors and High School
students who get together as a team to design and build robots. We then get the
chance to compete against other teams.
As a group we educate both the public and students about Science and Technology
through F.I.R.S.T. Our group also works with
Junior High School students to
teach them about Science and Technology through
Lego Robotics
and prepare them for the High School team.
We Love to Build Robots. Some of the schools in our area do not have a
Robotics Program, and the schools that do, generally, do not accept students
from outside their school. Therefore, our team is not directly connected with a
school. With our Robotics Program we
accept students from any
school, as long as they follow our rules of respect for safety and tools. They
must also have a passing grade in school and the desire to work with
others in a friendly, fun atmosphere.
