WELCOME TO FIRST ROBOTICS

We Build Minds. We are a group of adult mentors and High School students who get together as a team to design and build robots within a six week time frame. Once the six weeks are over, we will bag and tag our robot with the anticipation of being able to meet up with 40 other teams to compete in a arena setting, to use the robot in a skills competition.  As a group we educate both the public and students about Science and Technology through FIRST Our group also works with Junior High School students to teach them about Science and Technology through Lego Robotics and prepare them for the High School team.

We Love to Build Robots. Some of the schools in our area aren't lucky enough to have a Robotics Program, and the schools that do, generally, do not accept students from outside their school. Therefore, our team is not directly connected with a school. With our Robotics Program we accept students from any school, as long as they follow our rules of respect for safety and tools. They must also have a passing grade in school and the desire to work with others in a friendly, fun atmosphere.

FIRST Vision

"To transform our Culture by creating a world where Science and Technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming Science and Technology heroes".

Our Mission

Our Mission is to inspire young people to be Science and Technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build Science, Engineering and Technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities, including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
