6th – 8th Grade Students: Our Lego FIRST team is right for you! Currently, we are only allowed 10 students at a time, but sign up now for our waiting list. The Lego team meets starting in September and goes through November, and if we make it to State we go to December. Lego students that are in 8th grade can help with the FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team.

9th -12th Grade Students: Try out our FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition,"full size robot") team which also includes the FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team. We meet off and on through the year but our build and competition time is from January through April (schedule). Home school students and any local school students are welcome, but you must follow our rules of safety and respect for others. The safety of our members is most important to us. Our team is a close group, we call it our “family”, and we want our students to feel comfortable when they are in our care. If you can not follow the rules we set forth you will be asked to leave. We are not associated with any school and have limited resources, but will do our best to help you learn about science, engineering and technology.

During our season we update our web site, work on CAD programs, offer 3 D animation programs, and build our robot which includes some of the following: Design, Tactics, Electrical wiring, Pneumatics, Programming, Drilling, Welding, Cutting, Lath work, screws, nuts bolts, and Painting. We also do Button Making, Artwork, T shirt design, Community service, Robot demonstrations, Help With the Kettering Kick off Event, and Lego Events. You can choose what you would like to learn.

If funds are available we may also travel for our robotic competitions. Our events are usually on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which means students may have to take a few days off school. If we qualify we may go to Atlanta for the finals.

If you are an adult or collage student you also may join to help mentor the student. We would love to have input from engineers, programmers and machinist when we build. You may have to go through a back ground check for the safety of our students.
